Position Overview
The Working Supervisor is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for guiding a crew and ensuring assigned projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This position oversees daily site operations while actively participating in the work.Qualifications
- High school diploma, skilled trade diploma, or equivalent experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Class A CDL preferred
- Minimum two years of experience in the excavation or site construction industry with demonstrated leadership
- Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA safety guidelines
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
Responsibilities
- Organize, manage, and lead crew members to meet daily and long‑term project goals
- Oversee and maintain an active job site, ensuring machinery and tools remain safe and in proper working order
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and issues with mechanics
- Schedule and work alongside subcontractors as needed
- Communicate professionally with clients, architects, government officials, subcontractors, and team members
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed and quality standards are met
